MP3.COM - This site is must for anyone. You can find tons of independent and signed artists and their mp3s for your downloading pleasure. If you are an artist, mp3.com lets you join the thousands of artists and promote your music for free. This site offers a lot.
DANCETECH - A fantastic site for both the ameteur and seasoned musician. With tons of information on instruments to recording tricks to inside tracks on cheap equipment to classified ads for used gear. It is a neccesity for me.
DREAM ESCAPE - A France-based site that offers live performances in RealVideo. They are usually decent musicians that are on their shows. Dream Escape also offers many other options. Go check it out for yourself.
